2024 Herbal Apprenticeship

Interested in deepening your understanding of herbal medicine and learning how to grow your own medicinal plants? Our Herbal Apprenticeship Program is your opportunity to do so!

Over the course of four months (June until October), apprentices will gain hands-on experience tending to our perennial herb garden located on Concordia’s Loyola campus in addition to learning how to produce a variety of herbal medicines. Apprentices will also attend a series of classes given by experienced herbalists on topics such as botany & plant identification, herbalism & physiology, seed saving, and more.

Registration for our 2024 Herbal Apprenticeship Program will open in early May. Stay tuned for updates!

Volunteering

Looking to volunteer? Join us for our weekly drop-in gardening sessions this growing season!

Volunteers will have the opportunity to get their hands dirty in our perennial herb garden and food forest, and will work on a variety of garden tasks including bed and path maintenance, weeding, transplanting, and general garden upkeep.

Our volunteer sessions are open to everyone, from those with gardening experience to beginners! Please note that these sessions are not part of our apprenticeship program.

Our 2024 weekly volunteer session dates will be posted soon!
